Christmas Lights 2001

Christmas lights at night are not difficult to photograph, but to get really good pictures of them takes some talent. I’m still learning the best way to get good pictures of Christmas lights for the Internet.

If you’re photographing on film, slides are the best way to go. Choose a slow film (about ISO 100) and expose for about one second at f/4 on a single-lens reflex camera—one of those with the interchangeable lenses.

Enjoy what’s here for now, and we’ll see what happens next year. Oh, and by the way, Merry Christmas!
