Wendi had a tonsillectomy on February 24; Dr. Steven Lyon performed the surgery. Following the surgery, the throat healed very nicely, but sometimes Wendi still gets a hoarse voice. Occasionally it will sound like an “alien” voice, with two pitches being produced at the same time, a phenomenon known as diplophonia. Dr. Collins in Madison did a video stroboscopy of her larnyx on April 21; the vocal cords looked fine but were not working together. Neither doctor is certain as to why this is happening.
