Our friends, Julie Salzman and Craig Sayre, were married on June 10 at Life Church in Fort Atkinson. Though it was actually a commitment service, not a legal wedding (they were advised not to legally marry for financial reasons), it was conducted like a regular wedding. They used music from the album When Love Overtakes by Kharlie M. I (Charlie) took the wedding photos. Julie’s mother and stepfather provided the food and paid for the venue.

Two large limbs fell from a tree in our back yard, near the house, at different times. One of them damaged a neighbor’s fence; a local handyman named Jim Hickey replaced them for us.

We had animals (probably cats) getting underneath our porch this year. There were two gaps between the porch trim and the ground; I filled both with garden soil on December 22, when no animals had been under there in quite some time.

Holidays: Wendi and I spent Thanksgiving alone, just the two of us, as we still had COVID at the time. Our friends, Julie and Craig, spent Christmas with us, but we were alone again for New Year’s.
